✦ ABOUT US

Built because someone had to build it.

Got Chutzpah, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating live Jewish gathering spaces where everyone gets through the door.

OUR STORY

How Got Chutzpah began.

Got Chutzpah began the night Linnea Sage decided ticket prices couldn't be the wall.

She had launched The Jewish Dating Game in July 2024 and run it for sixteen months out of her own pocket. The room kept growing. The press came. JCCs and synagogues started asking to host it in their cities. And the math caught up with her: keeping the show affordable enough that anyone could walk through the door, with one Jewish grandparent or none at all, while also paying artists honestly and producing the work at a professional level, was not going to work on ticket revenue alone.

Either prices went up and the room narrowed, or the work became something more than a show. In November 2025, she filed the paperwork.

Got Chutzpah, Inc. is the nonprofit that exists so The Jewish Dating Game, and everything we build after it, can stay accessible.

OUR MISSION

What we do, and why.

Got Chutzpah produces live, in-person Jewish gathering spaces designed as low-barrier entry points into Jewish community life. We center younger, secular, interfaith, and non-identifying Jews, including those with one Jewish grandparent, and we welcome allies alongside them.

Our programs are designed as modern Jewish third spaces: consistent, joyful gatherings where people return month after month to reconnect, build friendships, and ritualize Jewish joy together.

When people leave our events, they leave feeling more connected, more confident, and less alone.

Our Theory of Change

Why in-person Jewish joy is infrastructure.

We believe in-person Jewish joy is a form of communal infrastructure. When Jews and allies gather in the same room, laugh together, and have an experience worth bringing a friend to next month, three things happen at once: people who felt unsure of their place in Jewish life find one, isolation lifts in a way no app and no algorithm can replicate, and a network of recurring, low-barrier Jewish gathering spaces takes root across the country.

We measure success not by clicks or impressions but by the number of people who walk in, who stay for the mingle, who come back the next month, and who bring someone with them. The rooms are the work.

OUR VALUES

Four things we don't compromise.

01

Joy first

We lead with humor, warmth, and celebration. Joy is not a luxury. It is the work.

02

No gatekeeping

If you’re here, you belong. One Jewish grandparent is enough. Allies are welcomed.

03

In-person, always

We build rooms, not feeds. The phone goes in the pocket. The conversation begins.

04

Artists paid fairly

Every artist, performer, photographer, and collaborator is paid honestly. Always.

LEADERSHIP

The people behind the work.

FOUNDER & CHAIR

Linnea Sage

Linnea is the founder of Got Chutzpah, Inc. and creator and host of its flagship program, The Jewish Dating Game. A working actor, voice artist, and producer based in New York, she launched the show in July 2024 out of her own pocket because she wanted a room where Jews of every background, including those with one Jewish grandparent, interfaith partners, secular Jews, and allies, could gather in person without gatekeeping. Within eighteen months the program had welcomed more than 3,000 audience members across five cities and drawn coverage from The Forward, New York Jewish Week, JTA, and Unpacked. In November 2025 she incorporated Got Chutzpah, Inc. as a 501(c)(3) so the work could grow without ticket prices becoming the wall that kept people out. She continues to serve as the organization's creative leader and as host of every show.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

TREASURER

Xan Weiser

Cantor of The Sutton Place Synagogue in Manhattan, known for her joyful spirit and lyric soprano voice. A proud member of the Cantors Assembly, Xan brings a working clergy perspective on Jewish communal life and the financial fluency of leading inside one of New York's most active synagogue communities.

CO-FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Paul Skye Lehrman

Paul is co-founder of Got Chutzpah, Inc. and Executive Producer of The Jewish Dating Game. A Brooklyn-born actor, director, and producer, and a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio, he handles the operational backbone of the organization: budgets, venues, partnerships, production logistics, and the relationships with JCCs, synagogues, and cultural institutions that host the show on tour. He is also the lead plaintiff in Lehrman et al. v. Lovo, Inc., a federal class action filed in May 2024 on behalf of artists whose voices were used to train commercial AI without consent. That work informs his commitment to building cultural institutions where artists are paid honestly and treated with dignity. He is the day-to-day point of contact for donors, foundations, and institutional partners.

SECRETARY

Yoni Weinberg

Co-facilitator at SHIUR, a project bringing the ancient Jewish practice of text-based discourse together with space, ritual, and creative practice across art, diplomacy, and culture. His work began in living rooms in Berlin, London, and Brooklyn. He is also a television writer, and brings an international perspective on how community is actually built.
